Delegates meeting in the Council Chamber

Members meeting in the Council Chamber

Barnsley Labour meets on the Third Thursday of every month at the Town Hall in Barnsley. Meetings begin at 6:30.

Meetings are a chance for all Labour Party members from the Labour movement - including Trades Unions - to discuss local issues and hear first hand about the work of the Labour councillors; MPs and MEPs. We also discuss campaigning and debate some of the local, national and international policy issues of the day.

Please be aware that in the best interests of all concerned you might be requested to show your membership card if nobody present can vouch for you. The Local Government Committee for Barnsley (which is part of Barnsley Labour) is also responsible for recruiting, training and selecting candidates for local elections. We are pleased to consider anybody as a candidate who has been a member of the Labour Party for six months.
